Nature and Green Living Resources - last update 8-24-12

So one thing that most if not all Pagan Traditions have in common is reverence for Nature. Whether that Nature be the Earth, Gaia, Goddess, the Body of a particular Deity or Giant... etc

Care for our planet, however, is a universal constant to all it's inhabitants, regardless of religion.

I want to share some resources.

GREEN WAYS BLOGS/WEBSITES

Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice - The Environmental Task Force has created a number of environmental education flyers.

PNC Florida - Great articles by 'local' pagans. The Food Problem is a good read about bad food choices in advertising.

No Unsacred Place - Earth and Nature in Pagan Traditions

No Unsacred Place also has this great article on why Pagans are not at the forefront of the environmental movement. I agree with her that we should be. This is one of the reasons I jumped on being responsible for helping the groups we are part of truly honor the Goddess, Mother Earth. The best way to do so is by minimizing the things that hurt nature. Earth matters and while we cannot 100% rid our footprint on the world, we can minimize it without a whole lot of effort or cost.

Green Living Tips - Just what it says. Lists categories and offers tips for going green.

One Good Thing - Holy Cow, a whole website of homemade cleaners and tips on how to clean many different things with minimal effort or harsh chemicals

OTHER BLOGS/WEBSITES

Witch's Voice - many articles by anyone who chooses to write

Pagan Space

Patheos - Truly a multi-faith site with a Faith Channel set aside for each of the major world religions as well as one for Pagans, Atheists and Spiritual. I particularly enjoy the columns from The Wild Hunt, Confessions of a Pagan Soccer Mom and the Friendly Atheist.

Witches and Pagans Magazine - I include this here as they have recently started offering on the site the old articles and have added a number of bloggers.

PRODUCTS I like

Seventh Generation - I buy a number of their products as they are environmentally friendly. They also have articles and answer questions.

Method - I like Method brand as I can find them in local stores a little more often than the Seventh Gen.

BOOKS I have on my shelf and highly recommend:

Plant Spirit Medicine
Month to Month Gardening in Florida (best book ever for growing your own garden in Florida)

Check back as we'll be updating this list as we find ore things to share.
